ABOUT US
Mayfield United Senior Football Club was very proud to celebrate our 100-year centenary season in 2022, having previously existed under the names of Lysaghts United, Mayfield Football Club, Lysaghts Orb, Orb United, Orb Chapel and Mayfield United.
We are home to more than 250 players, coaching personnel, club members and volunteers, including fielding men’s teams in Zone Premier League, all-age competitions, over 35s competitions, as well as all-age women’s teams ranging from the highest competitive grades to lower social grades.
We pride ourselves on being active members of our local Mayfield community, alongside sustaining the inclusive, supportive, and innovative community we have established within our club over many years.
At Mayfield United Senior Football Club we are committed to ensuring a positive experience for all participants in football, and this was acknowledged by Football Australia in 2021, as we received 5-Star Accreditation in the National Club Development Program launched by Football Australia in late 2019.
We acknowledge the contributions of all individuals, families and businesses throughout our 100 year history, and sincerely thank each of you for helping us become the club that we are today. Mayfield United Senior Football Club pay their respects to Australia’s first nations people, the traditional custodians of the lands, wind, and waters, and acknowledge their enduring connections to Country, knowledge, and stories. Mayfield United Senior Football Club is situated on Awabakal land, and as a football club, we continue to pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We acknowledge the First Nations people who are members of our club, and we strongly believe this continent always was and always will be Aboriginal land. We recognise the unique cultural and spiritual relationship, and celebrate the contributions of First Nations people to Australia.
