​The club has existed under several names since its inception. Namely Lysaghts United, Mayfield Football Club, Lysaghts Orb, Orb United, Orb Chapel and Mayfield United. 

The club was formed in 1921-22 coinciding with the opening of Lysaghts. The first team consisted mainly of Lysaghts’ pioneers and played under the name Lysaghts United.

Mayfield United Senior Soccer Football Club has been a long member of the local community and will continue to be for many years to come.
Thanks to all those who have been a part of supporting the club and playing with us throughout our 100 years. We hope for this continued tradition of mate-ship and football to be continued for another 100 more.
